Jean attended John O. Gaunt School and later Hatherley Road School in Gloucester England, eventually serving in the Fire Service.
On April 11, 1953, she married Richard E. Holleran of Bradford, PA in England at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Gloucester, England.
Wives serve with their husbands and for 21 years, 8 months and 20 days, she traveled, courtesy of the United States Air Force to the many duty stations including AFROTC Lehigh University, Bethlehem, PA.; Homestead (AFB) Homestead, FL.; Scott (AFB), St. Clair County, IL.; Grand Forks AFB, Grand Forks, ND.; Greenham Common, UK (AFB), Chelveston, UK (AFB); Cigli (AFB), Izmir, Turkey; and Turner (AFB), Albany, GA. They retired on January 31, 1973. Richard and Jean moved to Glendale, Arizona and they began their second career with the Department of Veterans Affairs eventually moving in 1983 to Dewey, Arizona where they would later retire after 22 years in 1995. Jean moved to Surprise, AZ in 2020 and loved her view of the golf course greens with the birds and critters showing up in her backyard.
Jean enjoyed thunderstorms, daffodils, reading, gardening, crossword puzzles, cooking, shopping, watching birds and all sorts of little critters and most of all spending time entertaining her family and friends.
She is survived by her son, Mark (Reva) Holleran; daughter in-law, Amelia Holleran; 4 grandchildren, Leah, Lisa, John, Lori (Kyle); 5 great grandchildren; her much loved goddaughter, Sue Thatcher; a truly wonderful friend, Donna Wezio; and countless other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband Richard E. Holleran; parents, Jack and Kate Morris; Sister Dorothy Ruck; brother John Morris and beloved son, David Holleran.
