Jeff James

October 10, 1962November 14, 2021

Jeffrey Lloyd James, was born October 10, 1962 on the Army Base of Fort Monmouth, New Jersey, and passed away on November 14, 2021 in Sun City West, Arizona.

He is survived by mother Joyce James, brother Bryon James, & niece Delana James. He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Allen James, who passed away November 23, 1999.

Jeff was always a hard worker; he spent over 30 years at U.S. Foods in the I.T. Department. He loved the outdoors, and his hobbies included hunting, fishing, hiking and playing at the James family cabin when he was younger, along with fun Jeep rides outside. His most favorite hobby was shooting.

Jeff was, by far, the jokester of the family, always looking for a good laugh. He loved his family whole-heartedly, especially looking after his mom after his dad passed away.

He really loved God and being involved in the church youth group at Glendale First Baptist, and he helped start up the FBCG FB page with Lee Ann Davis.

Memorial services for Jeff will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 9:00AM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale. He will be laid to rest with his dad Allen in Resthaven Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to ALSAC/St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105;

Jeff will be dearly missed by his coworkers at US Foods.

Over the years, his dedication to always be there when we needed him, and his passion to help others made him a great colleague and to many a great friend as well.

His sense of humor, and overall positive attitude was clearly infectious in others.

It was also clear that he dearly loved his family, and my thoughts and prayers are with them at this time.

I met Jeff about 17 years ago at US Foods. He always had a great sense of humor at work and away. We've been Facebook friends for more than half of that time, so it's been really tough not hearing from him or seeing some of the hilarious things he would post. He loved to talk tech and he was the kind of guy that would help anyone when they needed it. He will be greatly missed by his work family at USF.

Joyce, Bryon, and Delana,
Working and knowing Jeff for the past 13 years was a pleasure. I will always remember Jeff for his hard work ethics, his enthusiasm to always help, and for his ways of making us laugh. I will miss our conversations and his sense of humor but more importantly his friendship. He will be missed.

Dear Joyce, Bryon, and Delana,
I had the pleasure of working with Jeff for the past 17 years or so... He was a great man As he was the jokester in the family, he held true to that title at work too! He always knew how to make a stressful situation a bit easier with his humor!
Jeff was a caring man, always willing to help wherever needed, and he was a friend to all.
Thank you sharing such a great man with us. He will be greatly missed at US Foods.

I remember Jeff at First Baptist Church when we were just kids. Jeff and I were in the same grade. I remember Jeff smiling and laughing always friendly. We also attended Glendale High School together. In recent years we would talk on Social Media. It’s comforting to know Jeff is in Heaven and we will see him again one day. Prayers for the family at this time may the Lord give you peace and comfort and strength. With love Rhonda Shahan Brandenberger
