Jeff, in honor of your beautiful life, here's my speech...
Hi everyone.  Today I'm going to speak about my brother, and when I speak of him, I'm going to do my best to speak in the present tense, not past tense.  Because, although Jeff isn't here on Earth with us, his spirit and our love for him haven't gone anywhere, it hasn't left, and it never will. 
Jeff is my brother, he is the first friend I've ever had, he is one of my very best friends.  As kids, our friendship was full of joyful memories -- building forts, playing outside, catching bugs, anticipating Christmas morning, and playing board games and video games.  Games of which he always beats me at.  As we grew into teenagers, our friendship evolved.  Now, we'd stay up late questioning the world together.  Questioning what the future held and how to get through those ever-confusing teenage years.  Then, as adults, our friendship became defined by a mutual comfort of knowing there was someone in the world who loved you unconditionally and understood you completely. 
What I understand about Jeff, and know to be true is this - He has a pure, loving soul.  He is thoughtful, selfless, genuine, unique, and loyal.  He has a magnetic sense of humor, and today, I know he would want us to push past the tears and instead speak of happy memories.  With that, I have something I'd like to share with all of you.  I'd like to bring a little piece of Jeff to his service.  On 4/11/15, Jeff left me a voicemail wishing me a happy birthday, and I'd like to close by playing it for you all.
TRANSCRIPT OF VOICEMAIL
Hello. Hey Manda, just wanted to wish you a happy birthday and all that jazz, you know. Call me back when you get the chance.  No hurry, I actually don't work tonight, so you can actually call me back and I can answer.  Also, just, you know, wanted to remind you that you're old and decrepit, and you're the only person in this world who makes me feel young because of how old and decrepit you are. Anyway, I love you.  Bye.

I'm trying to find words to say, but how do you summarize a lifetime?  Especially when your life was so full of joy, compassion, kindness, humor , and love.  How do you honor someone whom you held so dearly, respected so highly, and loved so deeply?  

You're my brother, you're my first friend.  You're supposed to go through each decade of life with me.  But for now, I'm going to cherish the two decades we did have together.  I'm going to hold our memories close.  And as for the next few decades...I know you will be with me and watching over me during every adventure and every hardship.

To my forever friend and only brother, I love you and miss you.

May the light you brought into this world continue to reach the darkest corners the grieving hearts you've touched. Your love and light will remain with all who loved you. My sincerest condolences to family and loved ones. Remember death is merely a transition to the other side and you will see each other again.

You are greatly missed Jeff. You had a heart of gold and never ever stopped smiling. You were always so excited to see people. It was contagious. Rest high on that mountain Jeff!

Dear Marie and Family,

Neither Lynn nor I can express how saddened we are over the loss of Jeffrey. All of you are in our thoughts, as is Jeffrey, especially in this time of grief. We love you all.

Jeffrey, No words can express how I felt since Friday night when I heard the news.  You are forever in my heart and will NEVER be forgotten.  I will always love you with all my heart.  I will miss the big hugs and kisses and the whisper in my ear about how much you love me. Going out to dinner on your birthdays with you eating that great big steak every year!  I often wondered how you did that.. Just know that you are truly loved by everyone that you touched with your voice, your smile and your giving matter.  I LOVE YOU JEFFREY... Grandma B.

My cousin my friend my person I told so much to growing up.... My favorite memories is when our moms were sun tanning on the floaties in the pool not paying attention to anything and we ran and jumped in the pool knocking them off the floaties and in the pool... They were so mad at us cause they just got done putting fresh oil on.... Or the time u and I tried to get grandpy in the pool and he told us we got him wet and he had his burn pants on.... Or u teaching me how to play wwe on the PlayStation and we would spend hours and I remember the first time I finally beat u in a match.... Or just hanging out watching movies... Just because I moved I never forgot the memories we had and now that your home with the lord still doesn't mean I will forget.... U had such an amazing heart and this family will never be the same.... Love you jeff forever rest In peace and u and grandpy don't cause to much trouble up there.... Always in our hearts... U would have loved my husband u would of a had a game buddy when we came to visit... Love u jeff always an forever my cousin...

Jeffery, no words can say how much I am going to miss you my friend..loved our talks, your sense of humor was amazing!!! I'll never forget that look you gave me when you were trying to explain how to play Craps that night and saying " u dont get it do u" then we both laughed..those are memories that will be forever in my heart..Rest in peace my friend i will never forget you and your amazing kindness and love for your family..i was blessed to be part of your life..fly high my friend..

My Kind-hearted, Beautiful Jeffrey -  I will never be whole again...when you left us on that day, you took a piece of my heart and soul with you. I will see you again my one and only baby boy.  You were not supposed to be taken from us at such a young age.  There is no pain greater than losing you my sweet son.  I will pick up the pieces and try to move forward, but life will never be the same.  You brought me so much joy and happiness.  I will treasure our memories and I will NEVER forget.  Every inch of me misses you and wishes I could just see you one more time.  You are forever imprinted on my heart, soul and mind.  I will never stop loving you and missing you my one and only son.  Rest in Peace....

Ken, Marie and Amanda:  My heart breaks for all of you.  I can't begin to imagine the pain you must be feeling right now.  Know you have a lot of people that love you and are here to support you and love you through this.  You have a special angel to watch over you at all times.  I love you all.

Jeffer - you will forever be in my heart. Not a day will go by that I wont think about you. To hear your laugh or have one of your amazing hugs... oh what I would do! I love you my dude! I will forever love you!

Oh Jeffrey - the light of you will forever be in my heart. The love you gave all of us is like no other. Your smile, your corny jokes, your way of just hugging me like I was the best thing next to Claim Jumpers 6 layer cake. You will FOREVER be in my heart. I love you my Dude! Rest Easy!
