When I think of my uncle Jerry I think of a true man, If your here today and growing up and becoming a young man, take a look at uncle Jerry's life and take note, he is a true meaning of a man, 
He truly was the king of his castle, and in his castle was his princess! He treated aunt Chris like a true princess, he adored her with all his heart. 

He is the true meaning of a man, husband, father, grandfather and uncle.  
He showed so much love to his girls and family, 

When you walked in he greeted you with hug, like no other....... When I was little girl I would go over for a hug, he was truly the best hugger, in the world ( I imagine this is how bear hug would feel)  if I stayed to long it would end up with a hand shake/hand roll (when that happen I would always end up crying, but some how it was worth the hug). 

I am forever blessed to have felt his love and be apart of his life, he will be missed, but never forgotten, I love you with all my heart,uncle Jerry!!! 
Now it's your time uncle Jerry to go be with your princess!!!!!

My Deepest Condolences to the Mattera family. I hold many special memories in my heart of my teen years Jerry was alway fun and a wonderful father role model. I think back to him owning the Donut shop in Carpentersville, his Corvette and sneaking his cigs from his packs and Him alWays catching us. I will always remember Jerry  And am glad I got to see him just a few years ago. Jerry and Chris are together again and will remain Forever in my heart

Uncle Jerry you will be missed. You meant so much to so many! Your smile was contagious and could light up any room! I have so many amazing memories from time in your home! You will always be loved and forever missed! I'm so glad you are reunited with Aunt Chris! ❤

Can't tell you how many times you made me laugh, can't tell you how many times I looked forward to sitting down and having coffee with you before I cleaned, can't tell you how much I appreciated the words of encouragement you gave me, can't tell you how much I will cherish the Italian jokes ( between us), can't tell you how much I appreciated the talks about Jesus, can't tell you how much I will miss the big bear hugs. Can't tell you how much I could still feel Aunt Chris in the house when I would clean and the little comments I would make of things she would not like and you would laugh cause you knew it.... It will not be the same without you......you were the best!!!! I will greatly miss our chats Uncle Jerry. I will try to be strong and always will remember your words , love you

Grandpa Jerry, what a wonderful man.  Jerry and Chris adopted us in when my uncle married Debbie. Long before and long after their marriage Jerry and Chris kept us in their hearts inviting us in and making us feel part of the family for well over 30 years.  Was glad to be a part of the family.  Glad you are reuniting with the love of your life and know that you will be forever missed. It was an honor knowing you and we love you always.

Jerry lived across the street from me half of my life.  He was a gentle giant that was the best neighbor and friend that a person could ask for.  He would always have an open door and welcome you into his house when you knocked with a, "C'mon in!"  Jerry had every tool imaginable in his shop and would always share any one of them any and every time you needed one.  Although I moved out of my folks home almost 20 years ago I would stop by from time to time to say hi when visiting my folks. Jerry you will be missed.  May God bless your family and give them His peace knowing that you are looking down on them and telling the angels about the time that you and my Dad single-handedly moved that safe into the house...

Our greatest sympathy goes out to Jerry's family, Jerry was a great friend, neighbor & guide in my life. I learned a lot from this man & he will be greatly missed. Rest in Peace dear friend.

Uncle Jerry You will be missed so much. We love you with all of our hearts and will never forget what a loving Uncle you are. You are now with Aunt Chris and we are so glad that you are both together again. We will never forget you. Our hearts are hurting badley but our love for you will never die.
