Jerry was a Vietnam veteran serving our country with the United States Marine Corps.
He worked for over 25 years as a wastewater treatment operator last working for the city of Scottsdale until his retirement.
Jerry is survived by his six children Amanda Martin, Jerry Dodd, Jr., Gloria Dodd, Gregory Dodd, Matthew (Jessica) Dodd & Andrew Dodd, six grandchildren Abraham Garrison, Vanessa Dodd, Isabella Dodd, Jocilyn Prier, Ryan Dodd & Lucas Dodd with the seventh, a boy, due in December and three brothers.
In addition to his parents, a daughter Lisa Blocker and an infant sister preceded him in death.
Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Wednesday, August 7, 2024 beginning at 10:00AM at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale. There will be a procession to the cemetery approximately at 11:30AM. Jerry will be laid to rest, with military honors, at 1PM at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929 E Pinnacle Peak Road, Phoenix.
