Jerry Edgar Hare Jr., age 60 of Peoria Arizona, passed away on June 10, 2026 peacefully after a courageous battle with cancer. Though his time ended far too soon, Jerry filled every year with laughter, love, and a spirit that lifted everyone around him.
Jerry is survived by his devoted wife, Judy Hare; his father, Jerry Edgar Hare Sr.; his sister, Penny Hare; and his brothers, Kevin Hare and Scott Hare. Jerry found eternal peace alongside his daughter, Ashley. His family was his pride, his anchor, and the source of his greatest joy.
A hardworking and dedicated man, Jerry built a reputation as a great teammate and a true friend among his coworkers at UPS. He approached every day with reliability, humor, and a willingness to help anyone who needed it. His coworkers often said that Jerry made the tough days easier and the good days even better.
Since 2011, Jerry was also a proud member of the Sun City Host Lions Club, where he poured his heart into serving others. His commitment to community and generosity of spirit made him a valued and beloved part of the club. During his year of service, he was awarded Lion of the Year, Melvin Jones Fellow Award, and the Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow Award.
Known for his quick wit and natural gift for making people laugh, Jerry was a joker in the best sense. Someone who could brighten a room and lift spirits with just a few words. He had a way of making others feel welcome, seen, and cared for.
Jerry was deeply loved, and his absence is felt by all who had the privilege or knowing him. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the laughter he inspired, and the love he gave so freely.
May he rest in peace.
