Jerry spent his early years in Chicago before moving to Stone Park, Illinois, at the age of six, settling into a house lovingly constructed by his father and grandfather. For 42 years, he worked for Union Pacific Railroad, dedicating himself to his career with the same enthusiasm he showed in all aspects of his life. Upon retiring, he embraced the warmth of Arizona, residing in Peoria for 25 sunny years.
Jerry was married to Diane for over 65 years, a testament to his loving and kind-hearted nature. Together, they raised four children: Jerry Jr. (Julie), Victoria (Paul), Deana (Robert), and Vanessa (Axel). His legacy includes 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren, who brought him immense joy. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, one brother, a grandchild, and a great-grandchild.
Jerry had many interests that brought him happiness. He cherished time spent with family, whether it was on the golf course, enjoying a daily coffee, savoring sweet desserts, or dining out with loved ones. Jerry spent hours rebuilding cars and shared many lighthearted moments playing cribbage with family and friends. Though he believed himself good at navigation, those who knew him enjoyed many amusing tales proving otherwise.
