Jo Ann Chamberlain passed away on November 2, 2023, after an amazing 88 years. She was born on September 17, 1935, in Wapakoneta, Ohio to the late Arville and Laura Miller and raised in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Jo was proud to be a Cheyenne girl.
She raised her three children and worked in Data Processing at NAU & Flagstaff Medical Center at the same time to support her family. Jo eventually moved from Flagstaff to Phoenix where she worked for Honeywell until she retired.
Jo was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. An avid reader, she also enjoyed bowling and of course spending time with her family, whom she loved dearly. A loyal NASCAR Fan, who also enjoyed watching Sprint Cars, made a yearly trip to the Knoxville Nationals with her son Jay. Jo always looked forward to her yearly birthday trips to Vegas with her daughter Jill. They would go to the shows and she would limit herself to spending just $100 on the nickel slots.
Jo is survived by two children John (Judy) Chamberlain & Jill (Tom) Clark, brother Michael Miller, four grandchildren Joseph (Monica) Eder, Michael (Mandy) Chamberlain, James (Liz) Chamberlain & Matthew Clark and five great-grandchildren Caleb Chamberlain, Emma Chamberlain, Danny Chamberlain, Alyssa Clark & Evelyn Chamberlain and her dear beloved Shih Tzu Bailey.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by son Jay Chamberlain, three siblings Dottie Ward, Gene Miller & Pat Miller, and two Shih Tzu Mollie & Bonnie.
Jo will be laid to rest with Jay on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at 2 PM at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale.
