

84, of Phoenix was born on August 27th, 1926 in Flagstaff, AZ to Manuel and Viviana Villalpando and entered into eternal rest on July 9, 2011. Joe is survived by his loving wife Chau T. Villalpando, sons; George, Joseph, Robert, John and Doug, daugthers; Margaret and Vivian, four brothers and two sisters, many nieces and nephews as well as being blessed with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joe was a WWII and Korean War veteran who proudly served his country for 23 years in the United States Army. Joe later worked for Civil Service retiring at Luke Air Force Base after 20 years of service. Joe took pride in being a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. Joe's dedication and generosity to his family will be greatly missed. Joe picked up many honorable traits while serving in the Army. His loyalty to those he loved and his dedication to our country has always stayed with Joe as his friends and family will attest. The viewing will be held this Thursday and Friday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at West Resthaven Funeral Home at 6450 W. Northern, Glendale, AZ 85301. The Saturday Mass service will be at 9:00am at the Vietnamese Martyrs Parish Catholic Church located at 2915 W. Northern Ave, Phoenix, AZ 85051 with the funeral procession following immediately after to Holy Cross Cemetary at 10045 W. Thomas Rd., Avondale, AZ 85392.
