Joey Ray Hernandez

Raised by his mother and father, Cynthia & Jose Hernandez, Joey grew up alongside his siblings, his brother, Rayallen, and his sister, Michelle. From early on, he carried a steady determination into life—meeting each day with the kind of hard work and courage that so often spoke louder than words.

Under a tough exterior was a tender-hearted man who found real happiness in seeing others smile and laugh. Joey’s compassion showed in the way he gave of himself, and his devotion was felt most deeply in the love he held for his family. He could be straightforward, but it was paired with sincerity and a deep care for the people in his life—often delivered with a familiar sense of humor that made his presence unforgettable.

Joey’s curiosity was evident from a young age. He enjoyed football and played in high school, and that same bold spirit carried into adulthood as he continued to seek out new experiences without hesitation. A lover of art, Joey created it—working with his hands and imagination as a true jack of all trades. He enjoyed doing freelance work and created art through tattoos, expressing both skill and vision in what he made.

Above all, Joey cherished time with his family, especially his daughters and grandsons, who meant the world to him. Joey is survived by the mother of his daughters, Stacy Hernandez; his daughters, Alexandria Rascon and Monica Hernandez; and his grandsons, Beaux and Evren, whom he loved very much.
