A truly lovely person. I remember having great conversations with her over the years when she would be out in front of the house watching DeShawn then Cierra the DeAndre practice. She will be missed dearly.

I know heaven is a nice place to be but it just became more beautiful with my sister Johann. With such a big heart and being so warm and crazy I will always remember her with a smile. Jo you will be missed but never forgotten. I love you.

We love you and will miss you, Aunt Johanna. One of my most special memories is one I was too young to actually remember. As my mom shared, Aunt Johanna was a nurse in the nursery when I was born. I was a tiny preemie and in the hospital for over a month. It is so special to me to know she took care of me every day when my mom and dad could not.

Another special memory is that when my oldest son Corey was born, Aunt Johanna crocheted the baptism gown that all of my children were baptized in.

I know that you will be greatly missed by all of your family.

When my daughter Amy was born and was in the ICU for 5-6 weeks and my sister Johanna was a nurse in the ICU, she would tell me very very often how she would make sure Amy was bottle fed by her, and how she'd rock her in the rocking chair, make sure she was clean and had clean clothing at all times, and for all the world it sounded like Amy was getting cared for by a "private nurse"! Since Sinai Hospital's policy was that we could only visit by looking through a glass window at my teeny tiny baby, and I didn't even get to touch her until the day we picked her up at the magic 5 lb. mark, Johanna was my only connection to my precious little one, and for that I will always be grateful.

My sister has gone to heaven to join so many of her family waiting there for her. May she and all with her RIP. I have so many memories of her when she was living here in MI and I and Sherri were both expecting as my son Nik and Natila were born the same week in Nov 1985 and we spent so much time together with our mother I thank God for those days. Wish that we would have been closer these last 20 some years but thing change and somehow life goes on. Missed you love you until we meet again..
