So my name is Lydia, I have plenty of moments with my Tata! He took me and my siblings in his home along with my Nana, which I want to thank so much for being a a big part of my life. My tata has shown me to be a strong and hardworking woman. I lived with my grandparents for 4 years and graduated 8th grade. Had they not take me and my siblings we would be in split households. I always remember my tata working hard and working 2 jobs to support our family. Another memory I have is he took me and my nana and siblings fishing on a big boat in San Diego which I got sea sick. As I got old enough on holidays my tata would bring out his liquor collection of his favorites for us to try.  There are many more memories but that would be page on. Just know my tata played a very special role in my life! Miss him always but he is not suffering no longer and is in paradise with my mother and my father and step father and jovita and grandma lorenza and many more family members! My Dad was a gentle giant is how I remember him. A Very tall and strong man up until his last day. He was very hard working and always had a strong will. He Always worked 2 jobs to provide for his family. My Dad was always there for me and my 2 siblings thru many things. He had an unconditional love and always reminded us that we are strong and get thru anything. I love my Dad with all my heart and I will miss him dearly, it brings comfort to know that he is no longer suffering. Love you always Pops❤

My condolences to all of Johnny's family.  We grew up on the same street 54th Drive.  My sister, Belinda, and I adopted his Nana as our own. Johnny and Diana would take my sister and I with them to different places.  We spent one Father's Day with his family at the lake since we didn't have a Dad living with us. That was so kind and thoughtful!  Throughout the years, he would catch up with our lives, happy to know we were doing well, like an older brother. The Ortega family was an important part of my childhood. My Nana Toñita was the best! Lorenza and my Mom, Petra, would be asked if they were sisters. Lorenza would get a kick out of my Mom's reaction to that! She called her Sister and would turn and wink at me! 😂

We went all over the little ranchitos taking Lorenza and Jovita to curanderas in search of a cure for Jovita. Bartolo, Johnny's Dad, I remember him too. I'm sure my Nana Toñita was the first to greet Johnny with those twinkling eyes and her arms extended wearing her apron and those medias that were thick and rolled up. The memories...so many! Prayers for all in your time of sorrow.  🙏🏼🤗

On a side note, right across the street from the Ortega's lived Esther Rangel growing up. My relatives. She passed away the same day. Two great people on the same day no longer suffering.

Hello, my name is Karizma Saenz I-am 13 years old and it is very hard losing my tata he is in a better place and watching over me and my family. My nana and tata would come to every single cross country meet that I had they never missed one. My tata would cheer for me and it made me run faster after all of my cross country meets he would take me my nana to go eat canes in and out or chick fil a. I love my tata so much and happy that he is not feeling no more pain anymore. I’am very sad that my tata is gone I promised him I’am gonna take care of my nana for him I appreciate all the things he had done for me and my family.
