John Kenneth Yoder, age 92, peacefully passed away Sunday, April 25, 2021 in the arms of his loving wife, Janet.

John was born in Swickley, PA on October 18, 1928. He served for five years in the Navy, worked for Western Electric in NJ and General Electric-Aerospace in NY before moving to Arizona where he worked for Honeywell.

John was an avid astronomer, archaeologist, and photographer. He spent many summers at his home in Show Low, AZ where the dark open skies allowed him to enjoy the stars through his telescope. He loved nature, hiking, and outdoor adventures, capturing many of his adventures first on slides and film, and later video and digital photography.

He is survived by his wife Janet, brother Lloyd, sister Emily, daughter Mary Hayes (Paul), and sons John (Sotey) and Matthew (Karen), seven grandchildren, one great grandson, and numerous nieces and nephews.

John was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and uncle. He will be greatly missed.
