87, of Phoenix, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on June 14, 2011. Josephine was born on July 17, 1923 in Sasco, AZ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benigno V. Moreno, 3 brothers, and 2 sisters. Josephine is survived by her sister, Lupe C. Flores; 5 children: Robert (Eva) Moreno, Lucy (Charles) Vasquez, Tony Moreno, Olivia (Angel) Vasquez, and Ben Jr. (Bea) Moreno; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was the Arizona Republic front page story on Alzheimer’s on Mother’s Day, May 10, 2009. Visitation will be 6-8 PM, Monday, June 27 at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, with Rosary at 7 PM. Funeral services will be at 8:30 AM, Tuesday, June 28 at St. Helen Catholic Church, 5510 W. Cholla St., Glendale. Interment will be held at Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale.
