Katherine Marie Piche

Kathy was born in Pontiac, Michigan and spent many of her adult years traveling before raising her family in Houghton Lake, Michigan. Together since age 13, she married Gary Piche in 1969 and they settled in Arizona in 1999.

Kathy worked in banking and had a passion for painting, watching sports (Tom Brady), fishing and boating, food and cooking. She also enjoyed a fast car and occasionally winning at the casino.

What made Kathy the happiest in life was watching her three children; Jeneen, Chris, and Brandon live their lives and grow their families. She loved her family so much.

Although multiple sclerosis ruled over her body for the last several years of her life, her mind stayed sound and astonishingly positive. She never complained about her disease and her positive attitude was an inspiration.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Anna “Bobchia” Slabinski, and her father, John Slabinski. She is survived by her children Jeneen, Chris (Bekah), and Brandon (Wendy), grandchildren Jenael, Taylor, and Leo, great-grandchild Kyan, niece Lisa McCullough (Mark) and Michelle Lynch (Rob), sister Judy Chuinard (Bernie) and sister-in-law Rhonda (Linda).

A celebration of Kathy’s life will be held on a later date, to be determined.
