

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kathleen Marie Hardesty, who left us peacefully on January 24, 2024. Born in Bandon, Oregon, on June 23, 1955, Kathey was a beacon of love and warmth to all who knew her.
Kathey’s journey took her from the scenic views of Oregon to the vibrant communities of North Pole, Alaska, and Buckeye, Arizona. She was the cherished wife of Lester Hardesty, to whom she was lovingly married for 37 years. Kathey's commitment to her family was unparalleled. She was not only a devoted wife but also a nurturing mother and doting grandmother.
Her professional life saw her excel in hotel management, but Kathey's true calling was as a homemaker, a role she embraced with passion and joy. Her home was a haven of love and kindness, filled with the laughter and stories of her children. She is survived by her husband Lester, children Matthew, Andrew, Amanda, and her adored grandchildren, Dru and Bearyn.
Kathey's love for travel brought her and Lester to many beautiful places, with Maui, Hawaii, holding a special place in her heart. Their adventures together were a testament to their enduring love and companionship.
A celebration of Kathey’s life will be held on February 14, 2024, with the public viewing beginning at 9AM and service at 10AM at the Chapel of Chimes in Glendale, Arizona. This service will honor her memory and the immeasurable impact she had on the lives of those she touched. The interment will be directly after the conclusion of the service, directions to the cemetery will be provided.
