I remember years spent together...a time when we were close. Weekends, holidays, and spring breaks a day didn't go by, aunt Kathy, without fun, laughter, insight, and instruction. I found you strong, courageous, and fiercely independent. Thank you for the gems of knowledge, which you gave me. Things like... I have the right of way when driving in a parking lot! However, as a pedestrian--  this too gives me the right away!  Or Ralphy having morning coffee with you. Be it at home, camping, or visiting, every morning the two of you had coffee, cream, and sugar!  Let's not forget peaches, the love bird, that would bite uncle dan's feet and rip up his newspaper. But once you came home the bird was as lovey as it could be!  Aunt Kathy, the bird lied to you! Thank you for modeling how to treat animals, dumb people, and family.   Oh, I must comment on the beautiful salt water aquariums you had. The fish were gorgeous. Yet, at times it was disconcerting, for you would grieve for each and every fish that died. Let's be honest, you grieved each and every animal you lost. Remember when freckles ate your prized, white,  cockatiel? I think the entire neighborhood heard you that day, aunt Kathy! Or having me put a slimy, dead fish, underneath the drivers seat of uncle dan's car; or opening a can of sardines and dumping the nasty contents  into his glovebox. You were clever, quick witted, solid in who you were, and if you wanted something you got it. 
Remember me helping you pick up dog poop then we used a wooden spoon to push the poop far into the tail pipe. After that the 2 of us would sit and listen, as uncle dan left for work. You taught me much more than all of this.  At one time, aunt Kathy, you were the cat's meow...Kitten <3 FWHS. I don't know what happened or why you became angry and bitter...but i did love you very much. And now I sit here and think, "Wow! You did it aunt Kathy! Just as you said it would...a year later!" This just means that I can do this too! xoxo
