Kelly was born on November 9, 1969 to John Robert Peter and Rebecca Ross Burgoon in Phoenix, Arizona. After Kelly graduated from Alhambra High School he went on to study Criminal Justice with the plan of being a Law Enforcement Officer in California.
However, after years of working part-time at his father’s restaurant during high school, he gained considerable experience with restaurant management where he spent much of his career after deciding not to pursue Law Enforcement.
Eventually, Kelly had a yearning to travel, so he transitioned to over-the-road truck driving which he did for nearly a decade before becoming a Driver Manager. His employer said he was extraordinary and could handle a large group of drivers. This was a demanding job, but Kelly was up to the challenge and thrived in this high-stress yet rewarding environment.
He was a consummate communicator and avid follower of geopolitical issues. He loved to talk politics.
He is preceded in death by both parents, a brother John Burgoon, a nephew and three nieces. He is survived by an older brother Chuck Burgoon (wife Bonnie Dixon) of Texas, a sister Debbie Burgoon of Idaho, six nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Kelly will be greatly missed. He will be laid to rest at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale Arizona.
