

64 of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away on March 20, 2016. He was born on March 30, 1951. His parents were Robert and Grace Hayashi. He was the second of two children.
He graduated from Sunnyslope High School in 1969. He excelled in band, playing the trumpet and baritone and he also received awards in track and field.
His hobbies were playing golf, fishing, participating in a summer bowling league, and being an avid Cardinal fan. He enjoyed collecting authentic Japanese Samurai swords.
His recent career included working for Continental/United Airlines for 27 years. He received a special plaque recognizing his many years of dedicated service there. Ken was a quiet man who was well liked. In fact, many of his co-workers really respected and thought highly of him. He was always willing to help out other employees.
He is survived by his sister Sue Nishioka and her husband Ted, and one niece Stephanie Harwell and her husband Ian.
Viewing will be held on Friday, May 6th from 5-7 p.m. at the Arizona Buddhist Temple and the Memorial Service is being held on Saturday May 7th, 2015 at 11 a.m., also at the Arizona Buddhist Temple: 4142 W. Clarendon Ave, Phoenix, Arizona 85019.
