Kevin, when I came to see you at the end of December and bring you a belated Christmas gift, I was told of your passing. I'm sorry I wasn't able to visit the last couple of months, but I was taking care of Mom. You both made it Home for Christmas in 2018! What better way to celebrate than to be with Jesus!
I'll always remember being at the game, October 2, 1970, the night your life changed forever. What no one realized then, was just how many other lives would also be changed. Your testimony never wavered. Anyone who spent time with you was told about Jesus. No matter what you were going through, you always rejoiced in the Lord. When asked, "How are you?", your steadfast reply was, "I'm blessed." You were not only blessed, you were a Blessing! You endured so much in this life. Now you are free from all the pain, suffering, sorrow and tears. Your reward will be great for you were indeed a good and faithful servant.
From the time I first met you, you had my heart. I will miss your jokes, your singing, your prayers for me and my family, reciting scripture together, and your telling me you loved me and always thanking me for coming to see you. How I wish I could have done more for you. I love you and I miss you. I will see you again.

Kevin was Mr. Bella Vita. He was the most well-known resident of our nursing home by far. He remembered everyone's names, and even knew the names of my children and asked about them regularly. He did this right up to the moment when he passed. On a funny note....seeing this memorial booklet is the first time I have seen that his middle name is Jeffrey! He always told me it was JEREMIAH...and would either sing "Jeremiah was a Bullfrog" or "Jeremiah Obadiah" every time i would ask him to sign his name for me. What a jokester. I just loved him.
