Kevin Andrew Zamora

Kevin Andrew Zamora was born in Colton, California, at Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. As the youngest of six siblings, Kevin carried himself with wisdom, strength, and a sense of responsibility far beyond his years. Many who met him would have assumed he was the oldest, not the baby of the family, because of the way he presented himself to the world—with humility, maturity, and grace.

Kevin was known for being respectful, patient, understanding, and kind. The experiences of his childhood shaped him into someone who understood that everyone carries their own struggles. Because of this, he chose compassion. He believed in being caring, selfless, and treating others with dignity, no matter who they were or where they came from.

He found joy in life's simple pleasures and passions. Kevin loved collecting Pokémon cards, sketching and drawing, and using his creativity and determination to find new ways to flip items and earn money. He took pride in working for what he had. Everything he accomplished was earned through his own effort, and at just 17 years old, he had already achieved things that many people spend years striving toward. When Kevin shared his successes, it was never to boast—it was because he was genuinely proud of the hard work behind them.

Kevin's love extended far beyond his family. He cherished his friends as deeply as his relatives and was always willing to help whenever someone needed him. The impact he left on others became clear in the countless stories shared after his passing. Strangers reached out to his family to recount brief encounters they had with Kevin months earlier, moments that stayed with them because of his kindness, generosity, and character. To be remembered so vividly by people who knew him only briefly is a testament to the extraordinary person he was.

Kevin also made a lasting impression on younger kids who looked up to him. He led by example, showing them what it meant to work hard, stay focused, and treat others with respect. His family hopes those whose lives he touched will continue walking the path Kevin himself would have remained on—a path of kindness, integrity, and determination.

Above all else, Kevin deeply loved his mother. Their bond was unbreakable. He spent much of his life by her side, and although he sometimes felt left out because of how close they were, nothing mattered more to him than being with her. She was his comfort, his support, and one of the greatest loves of his life. In a reflection of that enduring bond, Kevin spent the final moments of his life with the mother he loved so much.

Though his time on earth was far too short, the impact he made in just 17 years will live on in the hearts of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
