Kim Jenkins was someone I will never forget as she showed up in Word Processing in 1983 shortly after I arrived at Juvenile Probation as a new finance supervisor.  She was very noteworthy as she seemed to be punctual, knowledgeable of all things juvenile, feared no one, was friendly to all but folks completely undeserving, and as far as one could see, she took an active interest in the welfare of those staff members of her WP unit that really needed help in coping with life's emergencies.  I can still remember her grand entrance to WP in the morning, usually preceded by a rough cough and and a wheeze, dropping her heavy (or full) purse in her office, and then she would scan over the area where the tapes were recorded to see if there were any "serious" emergencies today.  Once she was appraised of today's workload by Angie, she would head to the computer room to get 15 minutes of ultra-clean air, adjust herself to look the consummate professional, and then off to the office to smoke her first cigarette.  Her office served as confessional, story swap room, and a haven for her staff and numerous PO's.  It was here that we would hear massive amounts of loud editorial punctuation's of her learned opinions.  We heard at the service just what those words sounded like.  At the Administrative Services staff meetings, she was not the dominant voice you might think, she didn't interject her opinions unless specifically asked, but you know they were memorable opinions.  Since she was there at Juvenile during the hey day of Word Processing, perhaps at least one story is worth recounting for eternity.  One day after Facilities had repaired the air conditioning to the computer room, a huge water puddle formed in the hallway outside of WP.  A workman from Facilities showed up to "fix" the AC problem who was unfamiliar with the building and the setup of the computers, etc.   He walked past Kim's office, looked around, and then went into the computer room where there was a large red button.  This was the power button.  He pressed it and all of the computers immediately were dead along with a sound reduction (it got very quiet, very fast).  Kim let out a string of expletives and ran out of her office for the scalp of the clueless repairman.

Reggie, I didn't know your Mom very well, however, I have known you since 8th grade and you are such an awesome guy that I know she had to be equally if not more awesome than you. Which means I am sure she was kind, supportive and loving with a quick sense of humor. I'm sure she was very proud of your beautiful family and what an awesome husband and father you turned out to be. My thoughts and support go out to you and your family at this difficult time

Kim was my supervisor for many years, I respected her work ethic and appreciated her work motto, which I'm sure was "work and let work", she was the type who trusted in her staff to keep things going. Thank you Kim, you have been & will be missed.

Wow.  Kim Holly.  Me and my sisters went all through Sunnyslope Grade and High School with Kim and played softball with her from age 7 until our twenties.  She always brought her son, Little Reggie, to the games. Sure don't recognize him today!  Even though I haven't seen Kim for forty years, I will always remember her smile, her wicked left arm, and most of all her kindness.  Peace, Kim. With fondest memories. Kim was a warm, loving co-worker who became more than that by becoming your friend.  She had the ability to truly listen and offer words of wisdom and support  She genuinely knew "how to convey her feelings" in a manner that everyone understood.....and we loved her for her uniqueness.  You are missed, Kim.

Kim opened the door to my career with the Juvenile Court system way back in 1987 hiring me to work in word processing.  She was always supportive and so funny.  She was a great competitor on the  softball field too.  Thank you for being there for me.  You'll be missed.  Never to be forgotten.

I had known Kim since high school and she always had a smile, joke and upbeat attitude that was contagious.  I am so very sorry to hear of her passing.  My deepest sympathies to her family.

Kim was a tremendous asset to the probation department; she will always be remembered for her laugh, quick wit, smile, and ability to mentor new staff. Reggie you and your daughters should be very proud of her contribution to the court family but mostly her unconditional love for her family. Kim will be remembered fondly and missed. My deepest sympathies.

Kim was always helpful and supportive to all young PO's starting out including me. She was full of life, loved to laugh, and a great friend. She will be greatly missed.

She never minced words and always had a smile on her face.  Whenever I talked with her at work, it made my day.  Kim is good people!!!  You will be missed!

Any time you needed anything she was there with a helping hand and a larger than life attitude and smile. I also had the opportunity to watch her play ball and go head to head with her a number of times! Plus there were a number of times she harassed me when she felt a field wasn't up to par and loved to make me make sure she was playing on the best fields in the City of Phoenix parks. It was a huge loss when she left the department but an ever big loss now. Thank you Kim for all the laughs and good memories and a great example on how to live a life worth living!! Kim was an amazing woman. She lived life to the fullest and talked like a sailor. She did not let things stand in her way. She was great with her staff and took care of all of us at Juvenile Probation. I first met Kim in 2000 when I was working at Camelback Community Justice Center and she was there checking on her people. I loved the way she looked at life - her energy and outlook were amazing. Sorry to see her go so soon. She will be missed by many. RIP Kim! Give them heck up there!

Fun great lady so sorry to hear she has left this earth but know she will always have her hand in watching over the people she loves. RIP Kim.
