Laura Bonner

Born on February 27, 1947, in Chicago, IL and raised in Hometown, IL, Laura was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William and Mildred Stender. She is survived by her sister, Arlene Stender; her longtime friend, Joe Ondyak; her five cherished sons, Robert, William (Colleen), Michael (Nancy), James, and Timothy (Angela) McKenna; 14 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Above all else, Laura was a generous and loving mother who took great pride in her five sons. Her family was the center of her world, and she treasured every opportunity to spend time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She found joy in life’s simple pleasures. Whether cheering on the Chicago Cubs, trying her luck at the slot machines, showing off her perfectly manicured purple nails, or spending time with her beloved dogs, she embraced each day with enthusiasm and a spirited sense of fun. She had a beautiful smile and a contagious laugh! Her memory will live on in the stories shared by her loved ones. Though she will be deeply missed, her family takes comfort in knowing that her love will remain with them always.

A Celebration of Life for Laura will be held in the Chicago area at a later date. Details will be shared with family and friends once arrangements are finalized.
