

He was born in Muskegon, Michigan on November 20, 1925. Larry graduated from Muskegon High School.
He was married to Virginia on October 1, 1949 (divorced) and Betty on July 7, 1984.
Lawrence joined the United States Army in November 1945 and served in World War II until March 1947. He worked for Bendix as a machinist for 18 years, and then moved to Arizona where he held multiple jobs. Larry retired in 1991 as a building inspector for the City of Phoenix.
He was a member of North Phoenix Baptist Church and has a passion for travel, his family, and was a proud Army veteran.
Lawrence is survived by his wife Betty Miel, and 7 children Steven (Tommie) Miel, Vicky Miel, Bruce (Brenda) Miel, Stanley (Lucy) Miel, Mark (Kay) Miel, Terry Miel, Jeanne (Rick) Ritchey; 3 stepchildren, Deann Zens, Bill (Bernadette) Kahn, Jim Kahn; 11 grandchildren, Laura, Danny, Jillian, Jenny, Greg, Jeff, Travis, Eric, Jesse, Josh, and Matthew; 18 great grandchildren, Colton, Quinton, Quade, Nathan, Kaitlin, Kyle, Nickelos, Emma, Lauren, Dimitri, Alexander, Ben Giada, Logan, Garrett, Kohl, Ava, and Evan; And 2 great great grandchildren, Brooke and Nyxon. He is survived by his ex-wife, Virginia Hernandez and his sister, Helen Stubelt age 100.
A visitation for Lawrence will be held Monday, March 6, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 North 59th Ave, Glendale, Arizona and a funeral service will follow also at Chapel of the Chimes Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, March 7, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, Arizona.
