Leo Donuel Brown, 89, a Texan, but long time resident of Phoenix, Arizona passed away on February 20, 2017. He was born to the late Charlie and Ina Rae Brown in Dallas, Texas. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Clare, son Leo Jr., brothers Elton, Charles Jr. and Harold “Brother”.
He is survived by his sons Larry, Jerry and Dan, 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. Leo served in the US Navy on the USS Kermit Roosevelt. He was known for his jokes, and his ability to jerry-rig anything. Leo was a mechanical engineer and draftsman for companies including Ling Temco Vought, Texas Instruments and Landsdale Semiconductor.
Family and friends are invited to attend services for Leo on Tuesday, February 28 with a viewing from 9:00am to 10:30am and funeral service immediately following all at the LDS Church at 8702 W. Campbell Ave in Phoenix. Interment will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, AZ with US Navy Honors.
