

Leonard L Pinuelas, aged 89, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 31, 2025, at the age of 89. Leonard was a lifelong Arizona native, born in Phoenix. He will be dearly missed by his wife Grace, sons Leonard Jr. (Christine), Joe (Julie), and David (Sheri), grandchildren Brenda, Kim, Danny Jr., Lenny, Bret, Garrett, Aiden, Simon and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Mary and Frank Machado, sister Virginia, brothers Angel and Frankie, his son Daniel Sr., and daughter-in-law Susan.
After serving in the Army Reserve, Leonard's work career centered around public service. He worked for 28 years at the City of Phoenix, advancing to assistant administrator in Public Works. After retiring from the City of Phoenix, he worked for over ten years at the City of Yuma as a superintendent in Public Works. Beyond his exemplary public service commitment, Leonard was active in civic and church events.
He enjoyed fishing and camping, golfing, traveling, and watching
sporting events and old western movies.
Leonard was loving and generous with his family and friends and
found joy in their presence. He will be remembered for being
passionate about his Mexican music and love of dancing.
A prayer service will be held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Roman Catholic Church, located at 5614 W Orangewood Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301, on November 24, 2025, from 9:30 am to 10:00 am.
The funeral mass will follow at the same location from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
