Linda Elwood

Heaven got a little sweeter, a little sassier, and definitely filled with more giggles as our wonderful “GiGi”, O’Linda Elwood went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Sunday, July 19th, 2026. A beautiful wife, mom, grandma, great grandma, and friend, or “GiGi” as she

was fondly known as, Linda was born in Poplar, Montana on May 14th, 1938. Linda along with her husband James (Jim), raised their 6 children as they moved to many states due to the Air Force, before settling down in Arizona.

Leaving a beautiful legacy, Linda is survived by sons Jerry, Jay, and Joey and only daughter Jenelle. Daughter-in-laws Sheryl and Kathleen and son-in-law Jay, along with 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by husband James and sons Jimmy and Jeff.

Being with her family and loved ones is what she cherished the most. She loved family game nights, Elwood ladies craft nights, Elwood Christmas Eve, family trips, just being with those she loved. She absolutely loved to go shopping and going to get all the cute outfits she could find at Chicos.

Linda loved the Lord with all her heart, loved going to church, and even when she couldn’t physically go, she loved being able to watch service online and listening to praise and worship music. She loved the word of God and would always remind us of her life verse, her

favorite verse, as she wrote in every card, correspondence, etc. Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.”

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, July 31st, 2026 at 10 AM at Fresh Start Church, 14185 N. 83rd Ave, Peoria, AZ 85381.
