Linda passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025. She was born January 19, 1938, to Naomi and Frank Crocker in Middletown, Ohio. Her family moved to Phoenix when she was 5 years old. She attended St. Mary’s Grammar School and then St. Mary’s High School in Phoenix, class of 1955. Then on to Phoenix College for one year.
In 1957, she married her high school sweetheart, Hank Neuheisel, and they had six children.
She was an active member of St. Simon & Jude Catholic Church for 35 years and a well-loved Girl Scout leader. She was also involved with anything and everything her kids were involved in. During her career, she held many jobs, and still got 20 years in as an assistant medical librarian at St. Joseph’s Hospital and the Maricopa Medical Society.
She and her husband, Hank, moved to Flagstaff to experience real seasons. In 1996, after the second winter, they couldn’t wait to get out of there. They found better conditions in Lake Montezuma - not as cold and windy. Then, finally settled in 2012 in the beautiful Sun City surrounded by family, friends, and golf courses. She enjoyed playing games and spending time with those she loved.
She was preceded in death by two baby sisters, a daughter, Donna, a nephew, Matthew, her sister Kay Vargas, and a son-in-law, Chris Laney. She is survived by her husband Hank of 68 years, and her children Cheri, Greg (Joey), Kay Lynn (Frank), Judy (John), Joe (Tara), 16 Grandchildren, 32 Great-grandchildren, and one Great, Great Grandchild.
Though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for the love and memories shared with Linda - a daughter, a wife, a mother, a sister, a cousin, a grammy, an aunt, and a friend. May she rest in eternal peace in the arms of the Lord.
