I met Lorie a couple of years ago.I worked at Kindred Hospital in Tucson and had many occasions to visit Kindred Peoria. Lorie was a very loving and kind person and I still cannot believe she is gone. I will always remember her fondly and know that she is in a wonderful place.

It was my honour and a pleasure to care for Lorie, my co-worker on June 14, 2010.  Although, we did not know each other well personally, I had worked with Lorie several years. From the day I met Lorie, she was a brave and courageous fighter. Rarely, would you know Lorie was ill as she never gave any indication. I learned more about Lorie in the ten hours I spent with her that night, than I ever did in the time I worked with her.  We had a wonderful night together, one that I will cherish always. Lorie is the sweetest person I have ever met and in getting to know her, I found that she gave so much to everyone around her, that her good was needed elsewhere. Lorie had a contagious smile and a gentle demeanor that made her inviting to everyone she touched. Everyone at Kindred will miss her physically, but her light, smile and presence will be felt always. I was proud to care for her and thank you for allowing me to be part of her life.
