Can’t believe it’s been 3 years RIP Tia Lorraine! Thomas varela and family

Sonny, Linda and Joey.  I am thinking of you during this difficult time.  As a kid I thought your mom was beautiful.  She reminded me of Elizabeth Taylor.  Loraine was kind to me.  I might add very patient. I seemed to always be hanging around.  One of the best cooks ever. Being invited over to eat was pretty special to me.  As you might remember my mom, not so much a cook. I wrote a memory yesterday and several times this morning for some reason didn't show. Might show 2x.. My Dear Aunt Lorraine, I recall as a child when I stayed with my grandma they would talk for hours and hours my grandma would doze off with the phone in her hand quite a sight to see. My mom would also talk to her on a daily basis she would stretch the cord all the way to the livingroom from the wall phone back in the day... Uncle Sonny and Aunt Lorraine would pick up my mom on Sundays for a Sunday drive at times. Mom certainly looked forward to that. My Aunt Lorraine made the best sandwich spread ever!! We look forward to Revelation 21:4 no more pain no more sickness no more death. Thank you, Aunt Lorraine for all you did . Always exuding kindness . Love your niece Sonia 🌹💧our pic won't upload 

Beloved Tia Lorraine you will be missed very much 🥲We will miss your loving heart, your kindness, and your smile.  You friendliness captured so many hearts and you could tell how much people loved you.  We’re going to miss the conversations you had  with us when we would visit you even if you repeated them we love to hear them again.  I will cherish every Easter Sunday we would go to your house, that was exciting to us as kids.  Carlos & I enjoyed taking you & Tio Sonny to the Diamondbacks games and saw in your faces how much you enjoyed it. The one game we went to that started  pouring rain and we got all wet and I felt so bad for my Tia Lorraine, luckily that day they were giving out free Diamondbacks T-shirts so we got to change into something dry.  She was still smiling and enjoyed it, but maybe because her hairdo never got messed up.  She always went on a regular basis to the salon and always had a nice hairdo and looking pretty as always.  We Love You and Forever in Hearts ♥️ you will be.

I will most certainly miss my Tia Lorraine she is my Wife Sonia’s aunt but I consider her my Tia as well. I have known the family for years a fun loving twosome Sonny and Lorraine Diaz. I remember her fondness for good food if you made something good she would tell you and rave about it to everyone 👏👏 I feel so bad because neither of us VARELA’s made it to the funeral we are both sick from COVID so wouldn’t go, I am so Sorry!🥲🦠But moving forward my Tia Lorraine was always thinking about Joey every part she would take a couple of plates and then she would say “para el Joey”,then my smart self would ask all that for Joey, she would smile and just look. ✌️🌹❤️Last story I wish I could’ve said it to all you would’ve seen her great humor. So one day we are lounging at home and my Sister in law Marisela zaragoza calls and tells us they are letting us visit her. So my wife says let’s go I say I’m not even dressed she tells me just put on a different shirt so I grab one from the hamper turns out I didn’t even look at it just put it on. When we get there she was surprised and happy to see us, also since we brought goodies. But then she just starts laughing out loud For reals! We all look at her and she can’t stop laughing 🤣finally she asks me did you forget to iron your shirt as I looked down to see my totally wrinkled shirt, she starts cracking up more, so I ask her I thought you couldn’t see so she tells me I can see your wrinkles😜🤣🥰she then proceeded to tell all the nurses and friends to not mind me her nephew had forgot to iron his shirt so the whole afternoon was spent like that cracking up will sure miss Her. Oh Tia you sure are going to be missed. We were so blessed to have so many beautiful memories with you. You were always kind, always feeding everyone (no one makes green chili tamales like you did )and left us great memories. Even in the care center you made everyone feel special and loved your attitude and your laughter.   Thank you for loving me Tia no different than family. All my love and prayers to you Linda, Sonny and Joey.

Tia Lorraine 
She always made me Smile !
All I remember was her telling me Positive things ! Like I sure missed you !!
Your such a Pretty girl with Beautiful long hair.
She would come wake me up for Breakfast while my mom was at work and I was getting ready for school. 
I have memories of home made tortillas which smelled Amazing Chorizo and Eggs!
As I grew older I looked forward to going to see her with my kids. 
Time had Passed on but we crossed paths here we’re Lorraine lived my dad was there with a broken hip in 2017 so I took a pic of Lorraine and Serafin that was very Special to me that I got to visit for a short while.
She will be Missed by all!!
My Tia Lorraine 

I have so many special memories of my Tia Lorraine. I loved her so much! Her genuine smile, her laugh, her kindness.  I especially loved visiting her house with my nana & tata. It was such a special time. I have one memory that I never forgot that made my Tia Lorraine laugh all the time. Her famous raisin tamales. I was like 4 or 5 yrs old and she would ask me "Did you like my tamales?" and  I would answer in Spanish " Si, pero, no me gustan con paashhaas!" (raisins)  and I would say., ... next time dont put raisins in mine. She'd start laughing ! Even when I got older she'd remind me and laugh for saying ......paashhaas! 

There are no words to express how much I will miss you Gram. You took a piece of my heart with you when you left to be home with The Lord and my Tata. I will forever hold in my heart, a million perfect memories ♥️ Chorizo burritos and coffee in your kitchen, baths with ivory soap, walking with you and Esther and Bertha in the park, going to Jerry's for coffee and pie. Endless trips to the beauty son on Saturdays. Getting to see the Queen with you and Tata while in England. Shopping with you at the Blacknight. Driving with you for the very first time in England and we were both scared together (I was 8) These, and so many other memories are forever embedded in my head. You and my Tata were the heros of my Childhood, and you still are. Zoey and Marley were blessed to know and love their Great Grandparents, and for that I am forever grateful 

I will forever miss you. I love you Gram ❤

We loved you very much Tia. My best memories are from my childhood, remembering your hospitality, your cooking,  halloween gatherings at your house.  Later, hearing about your travels and time spent in U.K.  Most recent, how you cared for others at care facility  including those who were there to care for you.  Overall,  I'll always remember you  and how afraid you were of bugs, snakes and the turtle that was outside your room when you were on first floor.  I'll regret not making effort to bring you a small turtle to hold. Will do my best to stay in touch with Linda, Sonny and Joe. Look forward to seeing you again in heaven.
