

Manuel Ponce Salmon, a beloved resident of Glendale, Arizona, passed away on November 22, 2025, at the age of 85. Born in Chihuahua, Mexico, on August 16, 1940, Manuel was the eldest of 14 siblings, with six brothers and eight sisters. He was the son of the late Arculano Salmon and Heriberta Ponce.
Manuel spent his career as a custodian, retiring from his job at a community college. He was a man of integrity, known for his honest, happy, kind, and strong nature. His life was filled with simple pleasures and a love for westerns, especially "Gunsmoke," and classic Spanish movies. He enjoyed pies from Walmart with a cup of coffee, walking his dog Chico around the neighborhood, and watching football and baseball.
Manuel was a loving husband and a caring father, always proud of his children and grandchildren. He is survived by his children Gary, Juan, Trina, and Irma, along with six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Maria.
Manuel's legacy is one of love and joy, always smiling around his family, leaving behind cherished memories and a life well-lived.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation and rosary on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at West Resthaven Funeral Home; 6450 W. Northern Avenue in Glendale. A funeral service will be held the following day, Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 10:00 AM also at West Resthaven Funeral Home.
