Manuela Armendariz

Manuela Armendariz passed away peacefully at home on March 26, 2024, just 20 days after her 93rd birthday. Her loving family surrounded her. Manuela was born on March 6, 1931 in Chihuahua, Mexico to the late Ramon Armendariz and Francisca Hernandez.

Manuela was not only a pillar of her family but also a devout woman of faith, her unwavering belief in God served as a source of inspiration for all who knew her. One of Manuela's greatest joys was ensuring that her family was always well-fed and cared for, often delighting them with her homemade meals with fresh tortillas.

Manuela is survived by her eight children Avitio Carrillo, Tere Carrillo, Carlos Carrillo, Guadalupe Carrillo, Martha Mendoza, Norma Carrillo, Estella (Mike) Garza & Rosa (Francisco) Marquez, two sisters Rita Pando & Lourdes (Maurilio) Nieto, 29 grandchildren, more than 60 great-grandchildren and upwards of 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Family and friends are invited to a viewing on Sunday, April 7, 2024, from 5:30-9:30 at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale with a rosary beginning at 7 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 8, 2024 at 10 AM at Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral, 6351 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale.

Manuela Armendáriz falleció el 26 de marzo de 2024, apenas 20 días después de cumplir 93 años. Su amorosa familia alrededor de ella. Manuela nació el 6 de marzo de 1931 en Chihuahua, México, hija de Ramón Armendáriz y Francisca Hernández.

Manuela no solo era un pilar de su familia, sino también una mujer devota de fe; su creencia inquebrantable en Dios sirvió como fuente de inspiración para todos los que la conocían. Una de las mayores alegrías de Manuela era asegurarse de que su familia siempre estuviera bien alimentada y cuidada, a siempre ofreciendo sus comidas caseras con tortillas frescas.

A Manuela le sobreviven sus ocho hijos Avitio Carrillo, Tere Carrillo, Carlos Carrillo, Guadalupe Carrillo, Martha Mendoza, Norma Carrillo, Estella (Mike) Garza y Rosa (Francisco) Márquez, dos hermanas Rita Pando y Lourdes (Maurilio) Nieto, 29 nietos, más de 60 bisnietos y cerca de 10 tataranietos.

Se invita a familiares y amigos a un velatorio el domingo 7 de abril de 2024 de 5:30 a 9:30 en West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale con un rosario a partir de las 7 p.m. Se celebrará una Misa de Entierro Cristiano el lunes 8 de abril de 2024 a las 10 a.m. en la Catedral de San Simón y Judas, 6351 N. 27th Avenue, Phoenix. El entierro se realizará en el cementerio de Resthaven Park, Glendale.
