Margaret J. Connelly, formerly of Campbell, Ohio, died on August 20, 2012 in Glendale, Arizona, where she had made her home for the past 32 years. Margaret was born September 27, 1924 and was the oldest child of Dr. Edward J. Reilly and Nell L. Reilly who have preceded her in death. She was a direct descendent of the settlers of the Western Reserve territories that spanned Ohio and Pennsylvania. A graduate of Mercy Hospital School of Nursing in Canton, Ohio, she earned her Bachelors degree in Nursing from Youngstown College and her Masters Degree in Nursing from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Margaret went on to teach nursing at St. Elizabeth Hospital School of Nursing in Youngstown, Ohio, and then became an Assistant Professor of Health Education at Youngstown State University where she taught for a number of years. She retired from her teaching duties in 1980. Her husband, Thomas F. Connelly, retired from Republic Steel in 1981 and preceded her in death in 2005. She is survived by her daughter, Alice L. Conroy of Las Vegas, NV and grandchildren Matthew and Molly Conroy of Las Vegas; Sisters, Eleanor Reilly, Elizabeth Grey, both of Cleveland and brother, Edward Reilly of Cleveland and brother, John Reilly of Chicago, IL. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 23, 2012, from 1:00 P.M. until time of Funeral Mass starting at 2:00 P.M. at St. Louis the King Catholic Church, 4331 W. Maryland in Glendale.
