Margaret Erna Dunn, age 94, went home to be with Jesus on September 23, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona. Margaret was born on February 11, 1931, in Jacksonville, Florida. From the age of two, she was raised in Hausen bad Kissingen, Germany. In 1945 she returned to the United States to live with her mother in Oakland, California. On October 20, 1951, she married S.G. “Mike” Dunn. Mike preceded her in death in 2002 after 50 years of marriage. Margaret made Phoenix her home for over 60 years. A loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Margaret’s life was rooted in faith, family, and quiet strength.
She is survived by her daughter, Heidi Dunn, granddaughter, Meghan Dunn, great-granddaughters Ryleigh and Paisley Dunn; her son Stephen Dunn (Mariann), grandchildren, Brandon Lindberg (Ashley) and great-grand sons Benjamin and William Lindberg; Mehgan Lockwood (Brian), great-grandsons Jaxson and Hudson Lockwood, granddaughter, Cassandra Dunn; her son Timothy Dunn (Debbie), grandson Tyler Dunn.
Her son, Kenneth Dunn, and grandson Matthew Dunn preceded her in death.
A service will be held on Sunday October 5, 2025 at 1pm at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, AZ 85301. A graveside service will follow at 2 pm at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Ave., Glendale, AZ 85301.
