Margaret Louise Reece

Margaret Louise Reece, 88, of Phoenix, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2016 in Peoria, Arizona. She was born in Germany to John and Margareta Pott on January 2, 1928. Margaret grew up in Mettendorf, Germany on her family’s farm with 12 other brothers and sisters. In 1959 she came to Buckeye, Arizona to start her life in the United States. She worked for Good Samaritan Health Services for 14 years, retiring in 1980. Throughout her life Margaret enjoyed being with her family, gardening her rose bushes, music, singing, exercising and listening to Phoenix Suns games on the radio.

Margaret is survived by her 3 children; Steven Reece (Karen), Susan Schuh (Pat), Sandra Bubb (Dave). Grand children Darrell Grant, Jennifer Brinkley, Jeff Bubb, Cindy Knaub, Ashley Reece and Katie Reece. Great grandchildren Hailey, Leeyah, Aiden, Taylor, Brandon, Camber, Ryan, Payten, Jacob, and Hannah.

Margaret is preceded in death by her parents John and Margareta, her brothers Leo, Theo, Tony, Peter, Sisters Susie, Doris, Ria and Kethchen.

Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Chimes in Glendale on June 14, 2016 at 6:00 – 9:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at Chapel of the Chimes on June 15, 2016 at 9:00 am with Pastor Paul Bach officiating. Burial will follow at Phoenix Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
