Maria Guadalupe Ruiz

Maria Guadalupe Ruiz, a kind-hearted and generous soul, passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on October 29, 1952, in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora, Mexico, she was a cherished daughter of Apolonio Ruiz and Ramona Espinoza.

Maria’s legacy of love lives on through her devoted husband, Longino, her children Karla and her husband Leon del Rio, Claudia Ruiz and her husband Robert Schroeder, and Jaime and his wife Jamie Ruiz. She leaves behind her grandchildren: Xenia, Jazmin, Janice and her husband Simon, Celeste and Jaime, Jr., as well as four great-grandchildren: Emma, Araceli, Damian, and Emilia. She is also dearly remembered by many family members.

Maria's life was centered around taking care of her family above all else. Her home was always open, inviting everyone with warmth and hospitality. She had a gift for making everyone feel loved and cared for and was a mother figure to many who were fortunate enough to be part of her circle. Maria's passion for cooking was a vibrant expression of her zest for life, as she discovered new recipes and shared them on Facebook. Her love for cooking brought joy and warmth to countless gatherings and unforgettable memories.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 West Northern Ave, Glendale. This will be followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 pm. A Graveside Committal Service will take place at 1:00 pm at Resthaven Park Cemetery, Glendale.
