Marjorie, better known as Lee, Lindsay was born on May 11, 1931 in Volin, South Dakota to Norman and Helen Lee.

She grew up on the family farm attending the local grade school then going to Volin High School. Lee’s graduating class in May of 1949 was 8 students with Lee being Valedictorian. In 1950 she attended South Dakota State college in Brookings where she met her future husband, Douglas Lindsay. She spent a couple years living in Mason City, Iowa and New Orleans before her marriage to Doug on June 1st of 1952. They went to settle in Pharr, Texas but ended up in El Paso. While there she had her first child and started a day care school for young children. In 1957 Lee moved to Phoenix, Az where Doug had gotten a new job. By 1964 her family was complete and she was a busy homemaker raising 5 children. In 1970 Lee trained with H&R Block to be a tax preparer and did that work while still raising the children. In 1982 she and Doug purchased the business Doug worked at and she served as the CFO. By 2000 the business had been sold and she had transitioned to full time retirement keeping busy with sewing and quilting. She also enjoyed spending time at their cabin in northern Arizona. Lee is survived by her husband of 68 years, 5 children, 7 grand children and 3 great grand children. Lee will be remembered as a caring wife and mother that never stopped wanting the best for her family. Burial will be at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale.

In lieu of flowers, Lee would appreciate a donation to the Arizona Humane Society.
