I've just learned of Marsha's passing when I searched for her online as we'd lost touch a few years ago.  I am truly sorry to hear that she's gone as she was one of the kindest, gentlest, most humane people I've ever known.  She had a flair for decorating that was second to none and was always willing to share her ideas for making a house more of a home.  I've attached a picture from a Salt River rafting trip that a group of us from Holsum Bakery did in March of 1993. Marsha organized the trip after I mentioned that my husband and I were rafting the Grand Canyon in May of that year, so that we could get a "preview" of that experience!  What a great time we had! What a great person Marsha was.  She will always be in my thoughts and memories.

Mary, Jean, Lynn, Roxanne, Jim and Keith, It was with a heavy heart I express my deepest condolences in the passing of our beloved Marsha.  Marsha's extraordinary strength, compassion, and devotion was contagious;  making us all strive a bit harder to be better people and to truly appreciate the little things in life that we sometimes take for granted.  I am heartbroken to no longer have her physically here, but am comforted to know that she is at peace, pain free, forever young and beautiful.  Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves memories no one can steal.  Marsha will continue to be celebrated in our thoughts and is now surrounding us with her strength and spirit.  When you are feeling lonely remember to hold tight to memories for comfort (think of her laugh and mischievous smile), lean on friends for support (we are here for you!), and always remember how much all of you are loved.  I am honored to have had her in my life and will cherish what she has taught me over the years.  She will forever be missed and is in the company of all those who we have lost (including the four legged furry ones!).

***Perhaps they are not the stars, but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know that they are happy***

The mystical grandeur of the swirling rain and mist on the red rocks outside my window assure me that Marsha is still a beautiful spirit, now forever part of such natural majesty.  Each day I am reminded of her wonderful qualities--her courage, compassion, talent, humor, wit, and ethics--because she touched our family's lives in many ways. Whenever Marsha & Mary visited Sedona, they volunteered for projects...I still see Marsha in her red bandana each time I use the outdoor hasp lock she installed.  Whenever I look up, I see the 1300 sf ceiling she painted free hand with Mary because it would remind me of her.  And, memories of many years together at Holsum; you could count on Marsha to come through for you with a smile.  Then marveling, as a cancer-chemo survivor myself, at the amazing and brave recoveries Marsha made one after another. Her laugh, her loves (especially animals), her mellow but tenacious manner made her so special, and an inspiration to all of us who were lucky enough know her. The best tribute to Marsha's life is for each of us to strive to be as good a human being as Marsha.  With love to Mary, Jean & Lin as well as Jim & Keith and Roxanne & family.

My very warmest condolences to all three of you as we mourn the loss of a someone very special in all our lives. Marsha
was one of those individuals that touched me in a way that not many people have.  Always sensitive to other's feelings, Marsha was the most compassionate person I've ever known.  Marsha was always willing to lend an ear (and a solution - only if you asked for one), but was very private and reluctant to complain about anything herself.  I felt very privileged that Marsha opened up to me and that we had many long talks and that she felt comfortable in sharing those moments with me.  Marsha was a do-it-yourselfer and would sometimes borrow Tom's tools for a project she was involved in.  Working with her for almost 17 years at Holsum, Marsha was unfailingly one of the most loyal, dedicated, thorough, (yes, sometimes anal), and fun co-workers I have ever had.  Always a team player, Marsha was willing to go that extra mile when needed, and she talked me into helping her paint our whole office.  (She also helped me paint my cabin.)   Forever a friend, forever a loss , forever missed.  Marsha, if regular people can haunt angels in heaven, you will be hearing from me.  Otherwise, we'll have a catch-up chat in the Great Beyond some day.  Love you girl!!!

We met while playing softball and soon became good friends.  I will always treasure the memories and good times we shared together.  She had a great sense of humor and I loved her laugh.

Thank you for the opportunity to be part of Marsha's Celebration of Life gathering on 2-9-13.  I know she was happy and proud with the turnout of family, friends and co-workers.
There is a lump in my throat and tears that I needed to cry for such a kind and loving person, friend and animal lover.  Those attributes speak for themselves to show who you were and how much you cared for others, especially our furry friends.
I'm sorry that you had to go, but God needed you more in heaven, and I'm sure you're one of his very special angels now.
We will all miss you, but my heart goes out to Mary E. who loved you with everything she was and everything she had to give.  I know that your sister Jean loved you in a very special way that only a sister could.  She and Lin did everything they could to be with you as much as possible.
I know that the three of you treasure the memories you made while you were all still able.
Life won't be the same without you in the world.  Your beautiful soul, spirit and those you loved, kept you strong during your long battle with cancer.

“Marsha, Marsha, Marsha.”

There is nothing redundant about our Marsha.  Marsha was one of a kind.  She was loving and generous and did indeed have a knack for decorating.  I will never forget our shopping spree for furniture and accessories to decorate my partners' and my new home.  We hadn't a clue what to choose from our favorite stores, but Marsha would always gravitate to a unique and beautiful home accessory or piece of furniture that would be a forever keeper.  We can't look anywhere in our home without having pleasant thoughts of Marsha.  Even Marsha's cube at work was so inviting because of the way she decorated it.  It was nice and relaxing to just sit in her cube and visit. Marsha will be in our hearts forever. Our sincerest condolences to Mary, Jean & Lin.

After meeting Mary's brother Jim, not only did I meet a wonderful person, but through him some of the greatest people I have ever met. Marsha holds a spot at the top of that list as well as in my heart. She always had kind words and a willingness to help whenever needed. My heart goes out to Mary and to Jean and Lynn. She will be greatly missed, but definitely made an impression on everyone that knew her. What a blessed contribution she made in this life. My most sincere and deepest sympathy for your loss.

Marsha was a wonderful person.  She always had a lovely smile and positive attitude.  There wasn't a mean bone in her.  She loved life.  Marsha will be missed by many people. I'm glad I had the opportunity to get to know her and work with her.  She was my inspiration.

Mary, Jeanette and Linda, even though you do not know me personally, I had the pleasure to work with Marsha for about 4 years while I was a secretary in Accounts with the City of Phoenix.  She was a "joy", - Marsha had to have been one of the most positive persons I have ever known.  She had some of the merriest blue eyes - those blue eyes were indicative of her positive & upbeat spirit.  Even though I will not be able to see Marsha anymore as I go up to visit the "5th floor" - I will always remember her blue eyes and her bright smile.
