Mary L. Bixler, 87, passed away on May 26, 2026. Born on August 13, 1938, in Cortland, New York, Mary carried with her a steady sense of purpose and devotion to those she loved throughout a long and meaningful life.
In 1969, Mary moved to Arizona with her husband, Clay, and her children, beginning a new chapter marked by commitment to both family and work. She dedicated more than 30 years of service to Western Electric and later retired from Lucent Technologies, a career reflecting reliability, perseverance, and pride in a job well done.
Mary found great joy in seeing the world. She loved traveling through Europe and visited Japan several times, embracing each journey with quiet enthusiasm and appreciation. She also enjoyed cruises shared with family and friends, valuing the simple gift of time together and the memories made along the way. At home, she was often happiest in familiar comfort—sitting with all four small rescue dogs on her lap while watching her shows, a gentle scene that spoke to her tender heart and the warmth she offered so naturally.
Mary is survived by her younger brother, Albert; her three children, Sheila, Vincent, and Thomas; her grandchildren and great grandchildren; and several cousins in New York.
