Mary Geraldine Hill

Gerry Hill, 83, of Goodyear, AZ, passed away on November 2, 2023, at home with her family at her side after battling colorectal cancer. She was born on July 14, 1940, in St. Johns, Newfoundland, Canada, to the late Captain Gerald and Elizabeth Dillon.

Gerry was a loving and devoted wife to her husband of 63 years, Gerald Hill. They met and married on February 4, 1960, in St. John's, Newfoundland, Canada, and moved to California to start their life. As her husband served his country for 22 years in the USAF, Gerry dedicated her life to taking care of others, especially her five children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children: Donna Lee Hill, Thomas Hill, Tracy Hill (Erick), Suzie Ioviero (Wayne), and Andy Hill (Debra). Gerry also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren: Carrie Phillips (Mike), Kristian Torres (Gilbert), Devan Hill, Sydney Jones (Brier), and Jordon Jones (Natalie), as well as her 7 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers, Mike (Elizabeth) and Frank (Pam) Dillon.

Gerry had a passion for sewing, crafts, reading, puzzles, and spending time at the beach. These hobbies brought her much joy throughout her life.

A memorial service to celebrate Gerry's life will held on Saturday, January 13th 2024 at 12 PM, at Chapel of the Chimes Mortuary, 7924 N. 59th Ave. Glendale, AZ 85301. Reception to follow. Contributions in her memory can be made to the AZ Humane Society or a local animal shelter, as she had a deep love for animals.
