Mary Marki came from a large Polish-American family and she was very proud of both heritages. Her parents immigrated as young adults from Poland and ended up building a life in Michigan. With six sisters and a brother that won a Purple Heart for bravery in World War II, she was deeply patriotic and well-grounded in her Catholic faith. She married Donald Marki after a whirlwind romance filled with music and polka dancing and they moved to Tucson, Arizona and then on to Phoenix where they raised four children – Robert, Karen, Ron and Tom. Mary is also survived by her grandson Joshua Marki (spouse Kelley) and son-in-law Willy Aroca. She was a dedicated parishioner and prayer group member at Saint Jerome’s Catholic Church for many years where she served and comforted others in need. One of her favorite pieces of advice was “Just keep on going!”. She lived to be 94 so we think she did a pretty good job of it. We will all miss her dearly. Mary was laid to rest next to her loving husband at the Resthaven Cemetery in Glendale, Arizona.
A committal service will be held on November 18, 2025, at 8:00 am at Resthaven Park Cemetery, located at 6450 W Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ, 85301, United States.
