Mary Lou Taylor went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus, on August 24, 2023. Lou was born July 3, 1926, to Earl Herman Harris and Amy Lou {White} Harris in Indian Gap, Texas. She graduated from Seagraves High School in 1943 and moved to Long Beach, California, where she worked in the Douglas Aircraft Company assembling A-26 medium bombers for the war effort. After the war, she moved to Lubbock, Texas, and worked as a clerk and radio dispatcher for the Texas Rangers.
Lou married Harold Vernon Taylor on February 1, 1948. They raised four sons, Doug and wife Annita of Amarillo, Texas, Ron and wife Kathy of Peoria, Arizona, Larry and wife Nancy of Dewey, Arizona, and Paul and wife Nancee of Spokane, Washington. She had seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She enjoyed traveling, hosting friends and family, and knitting and crocheting lots of gifts.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, her parents, her brother Earl Harris, and grandson Michael Adam Taylor.
