Melinda passed away at the age of 73 in Glendale, AZ on Saturday, March 7, 2026. She was born in Phoenix, AZ on February 10, 1953 to Melvin Warner and Lynn Richardean (Cook) Thompson. Melinda was a graduate of Peoria High School and earned college degrees from Northern Arizona University (Bachelor's) and Arizona State University (Master's).
She married Kevin Cort Forgia on March 20, 1976, and she provided a loving home for their two boys in addition to working for several years as both an elementary school teacher and dental hygienist.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kevin, in 2010. She is survived by her sons Casey Forgia and Kyle Forgia; brothers William (Paula) Thompson and Tad (Cathy) Thompson, and five grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home, 6450 West Northern Ave, Glendale, AZ 85301, US, on April 3, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
