Michelle L. Bice, 71, of Glendale, Arizona passed away the 6th of April 2024. She was born in San Jose, California on the 29th of April 1952. Michelle graduated from Piedmont Hills High School in 1970 and received her Professional Secretary Degree from the Sawyer School in 1976. In February of 1980 she decided to leave California and move to Arizona. Her first job in Arizona was working for the Intel Corporation as a word processor. In 1982 she began working for APS in Text Management. She later transitioned to the Real Estate and Facility Management Department. Eventually, she was offered a supervisory position that she accepted and held until she retired in December 1996.
1996 would prove to be a very eventful year for Michelle, as not only did she retire, but she married the love of her life, Allen Roy Bice. Allen and Michelle were married on the 21st of June 1996 in Coconino National Forest in Arizona. Their six children were all part of the ceremony that marked the blending of two families. After they were married, Michelle spent most of her time as a homemaker. She used this time to share her love of cooking and travel with her spouse and children. As the children got older and had children of their own, Michelle spent more time reading or watching her favorite movies and tv shows. She would travel with Allen or to meet family whenever the opportunity arose. When the grandchildren were present in their home, Michelle would enjoy spending time with them. As the grandchildren grew older Michelle enjoyed teaching them her favorite tile games, such as Rummikub. Michelle was also a big fan of card games, learning one of her favorite games, Cassino, from her oldest daughter and son-in-law.
Michelle was preceded in death by her parents, William Raymond Duarte and Edith Helen Duarte (nee Abel); her sister, Joyce Wallace; and her nephew, Frank Wallace. She was survived by her husband, Allen Roy Bice; their six children, Christopher Bice, Steven Bice, Jacob Adkins, Kimberly Dekat, Amy Bice, and Nathan Adkins; their five grandchildren, Kaleb, Michael, Lillian, Lena, Allen, and Lula; her brother Joe Duarte; her nieces, Kathy and Vanessa; and her nephew, David.
