One way to say this is: The godly effects of Milburn Calvin Hayes have all my life imprinted themselves upon the very fabric of my being. 
     One day it’ll be my turn too and I’ll see my uncle with Jesus (and many others too) in that place where Jesus will continue to never leave us or ever forsake us.
      Through times of great trials in my growing up years, again and again our Uncle Milburn took time to come see us with that succinct right word, heart, wisdom with daily prayers for us to express the love of Jesus we needed to get to know.

To my precious family, Uncle Milburn was one of the dearest parts of my life that I’m sure I’ll be eternally grateful for.  Over many years he would call me and check in. He was always such an encouragement and would ask about me, then Billy, my husband, our children and then the grandchildren so that he could pray specifically for them. He was always such a blessing to me and to know that he & Auntie were praying was so incredibly humbling and so invaluable!  I have to say the last time we spoke I was so incredibly in  awe that he told me that he didn’t have long to live and was going home to heaven and that he would see me on the other side!!  Also to tell my siblings for him.  I’ve never had someone do that. It just makes me so keenly aware that he knew without a doubt where he would be…in the arms of Jesus, his Lord & Savior!!  "See you on the other side Uncle!"

I am writing this on behalf of my mother who is 90 years old, Milburn's "baby sis," Evelyn. The two of them were so very close. Mom's memory doesn't serve her well these days, but I continue to hear her say what a wonderful brother she had, the best anyone could want! She rejoices in her quiet way that Milburn is at peace in heaven. So many welcomed him Home! Mom will not be attending the funeral-- she says it would just be too painful to bare.

Our dear Uncle Milburn was a loving, kind man  of God. I will never forget his support and love to my Mother and therefore, to us children. His words of kindness and encouragement will always be remembered. I also fondly remember his beautiful tenor voice ringing out at the services of the Gospel Hall in Long Beach, California. I will hold him in high esteem always. Thank you for the assurance of your prayers and love to me my whole life. We will join you shortly in heaven where you are with our Lord Jesus Christ.

I will always treasure fond memories of our dear brother Milburn. He had a true love for God’s Word, God’s assembly, and God’s people. I remember countless times our brother and sister opening their home for hymn sings and get togethers when they lived in Southern California.

I couldn’t help but notice the wall hanging on the left, behind our brother in his picture on this web sight. It reads, “it is well with my soul”. Our brother had peace knowing it was all well with his soul. It wasn’t something he would “just say”, it was real to him! He loved his Saviour, and he lived in the joy of knowing his Saviour loved him. We often sing… 
“Face to face with Christ, my Savior,
Face to face- what will it be
When with rapture I behold him,
Jesus Christ who died for me?”

Our brother no longer has to anticipate what the “face to face” experience will be like—he is now enjoying it along side  the multitudes who have gone on before us!

We continue to pray for our dear sister Glennis and their 2 sons Trevor and Norman, along with their wives and children, who are also feeling the loss. May our God of all comfort be their special portion at this time.

He has always been in my thoughts and now that he is gone 😔..??He was always kind and loving to me.  ..Never  harsh or judgemental.  Most genuine God loving man I ever knew.  I'm sure he is dancing in heaven. I'm sure he has a huge mansion .    One day I will see him again.   .
