Mildred Daisy Corbin, 93, of Peoria, AZ, went to her heavenly home on July 9, 2014. She was born in Essex, MO on January 31, 1921 to James H. and Ada Sweeney. Mildred married Lester Corbin on June 8, 1940. Lester preceded her in death on Dec. 27, 1995. In 1957, the family moved to Arizona. She is survived by her three children, son, Jim, and two daughters, Janis Prentice and Emma Plymale Saurette (Byron), seven grandchildren, Jim, Darrell, Dennis Hunt, Tonya Hall, Cary Corbin, Bart and Bret Prentice, eighteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, one brother, James Nelson Sweeney, sister-in-law, Doris Mossman, brother-in-law, Jessie Barnes, many nieces, nephews and friends. Mildred was a loving mother, grandmother, etc. We will all miss her very much. We now have another Angel watching over us. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 15, 2014, 5-8pm. Service will be held Wednesday, July 16, 2014 10:00am, both visitation and service will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home 6450 W. Northern Ave. Glendale, AZ 85301. Burial to follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery.
