OBITUARY

Moses Franklin Lopez

February 24, 1993June 6, 2021

Moses Franklin Lopez was 28 years old when he passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021, from a tragic car accident.

He was born in Los Angeles, California, on the 24th of February in 1993 to Byron and Patricia Lopez; the youngest of five.

Moses was a truck driver for Pepsi Cola Company and described by his work peers as punctual, hardworking, and having a great work ethic.

Whether you knew him during his straight hair phase, long curly hair, or most recently with his long beard, you’d know that Moses had a great sense of humor and was always smiling and in a great mood. One might not expect such a kind-hearted and humble person to be so competitive and funny. If he wasn’t outdoors camping/hunting, or hiking, you could find him playing video games or rooting for his favorite teams since childhood: Liverpool, PSG, Barcelona, Philadelphia Eagles, and the L.A. Dodgers; but he was known for having many hobbies. Most of his friends and family both young and old can only share comical stories of the times Moses pranked them or gave them stomachaches from laughing so much. There was never a dull moment when Moses was with you and sadly, we won’t be able to fill the void for his absence. Moses was very family-oriented and was overprotective of his loved ones. One thing we can’t deny is Moses was unselfish and giving and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his parents Byron and Patricia Lopez; four siblings, Victoria Leyva, Carolina Huff, Liza Lopez, and Bryan Lopez; eight nieces and nephews, Joseph, Stephanie, John, Lilo, Maximus, Jasper, Matthew, and Athena; and a large extended family including aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Family and friends are invited to visitation and service on Monday, June 14, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Betel Ministries at 3035 W Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ. Burial will follow in Resthaven Park Cemetery.

Thank you Moe for always making us laugh. Thank you for being such a loving person. I appreciate you always checking in on me. I will miss your visits at work and our conversations we had. Thank you for being a great friend even though we told everyone we were cousins. But it really did feel like we were family. I’m glad our last encounter was with a hug and laughter. I love you man.

I dont have many friends but he was definitely a special one. I could even call him my best friend. He always made everyone smile and loved to make jokes. He brightened up a room with his presence and humor. I will miss you so much and may you rest in peace my friend.
