

With heavy hearts and overwhelming sorrow, we announce the heartbreaking loss of our cherished mother, Olga C. Romero (65). She peacefully transitioned January 22nd, 2025, following her brave choice to enter hospice care, after facing a long and challenging battle with kidney disease.
Olga radiated an unyielding passion that set her soul ablaze, fiercely standing by her beliefs without wavering. With a spirit that overflowed with compassion, she possessed an extraordinary gift for finding the right words to mend even the most aching hearts,
soothing weary souls with the warmth of her heartfelt expression.
She wore her identity as a community activist and leader like a badge of honor, pouring countless hours into volunteer work at the LDS church, schools, and outreach programs reflected her persistent commitment to uplifting others. Yet, nothing brought her greater delight than the “adventures” she embarked upon with her beloved grandchildren. Olga’s life most exhilarating moments were enveloped with bursts of laughter, joyous dancing, the warmth of cooking, and the tranquil joy of fishing, savoring every moment
spent with treasured family. In every smile and shared moment, her spirit soared, making the mundane feel magnificent.
Olga was born on April 18, 1959, in Artesia, New Mexico, to her adored parents, Domingo and Salome Cadena as the beloved firstborn of ten spirited siblings, her heart was forged in love, creating an unbreakable bonded family.
She completed her education graduating from Tolleson High School in 1978. Then, on that fateful day of May 27th, 1979, she united her heart with her soulmate, Paul Romero II, embarking on
a beautiful journey together. In the warmth of their shared dreams, they built a home filled with laughter and love, welcoming three children Paul Romero III, Callistine Lerma and Maria Kellum who would become the heartbeats of their lives.
Olga is survived by her three children, Paul Romero (Michelle), Callistine Lerma (Benjamin), Maria Kellum (Nick), her beloved grandchildren Alejandro (Amber), Diego, Milana, Praven, Cyrus, Analia, Catalina, Vittoria, Kristopher, Natalia and Damian. Her
Siblings Thomas Cadena, Pricilla (Steve) Garcia, Louis Cadena, Irma (Joseph) Perez, Patricia (Vincent) Cano, Danny (Sandra) Cadena, Domingo (Mickie) Cadena Jr., Annabel Cadena, Rosario Som and many other links.
Visitation will be held Saturday, March 1st 2025, starting at 10am. Service to follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale.
Olga Romero lived life boldly, blazing her own trail with a radiant smile that could light up the darkest days. Her vibrant spirit and cherished memories will forever echo in our hearts. May she finally find peace, free from pain-she is now our eternal sunshine.
