Una misa de entierro cristiano se llevará a cabo en la Catedral Ss. Simon & Jude, ubicada en 6351 North 27th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona, 85017, el 13 de junio de 2025 a las 10:00 am.

El servicio de entierro se realizará en Resthaven Park Cemetery, situado en 6450 West Northern Avenue, Glendale, Arizona, 85301, el 13 de junio de 2025.

Olivia Mendoza Arroyo, a resilient, brave, hard-working, and generous soul, passed away on June 3, 2025, at the age of 54. Olivia was born on September 23, 1970, in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico, to Bernado Mendoza and Margarita Arroyo. She was the second of four children and the oldest daughter. At the age of 21, Olivia moved to Arizona in 1991, where she would build a life filled with love, family, and hard work.

In her early career, Olivia demonstrated an exceptional talent for numbers, working as an accountant in Mexico before her journey to the United States. Her entrepreneurial spirit shone through her success in selling jewelry, a venture she approached with her characteristic determination and skill. Olivia was also employed at Dot's Pretzels as a packer, continuing her work until illness intervened.

Family was at the heart of Olivia's life. She is survived by her mother, Margarita Arroyo, and her five children: Richard Cardenas Mendoza, Cristian (Abril) Cardenas Mendoza, Tanya (Ryandy Barrido) Cardenas Mendoza, Tyana Feria Mendoza, and Angel Gabriel Mendoza. Her legacy is further carried on by her siblings, Juan Mendoza Arroyo, Celerino (Crystal Robles) Mendoza Arroyo, and Elba Mendoza Arroyo, as well as her two grandchildren, Rosalie Gaona Cardenas and Jose Luis Cardenas, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Olivia had a passion for soccer, a sport in which she excelled. Her love for numbers was a recurring theme in her life, and she enjoyed traveling, often embracing new experiences with enthusiasm. Known for her spontaneity, Olivia was a person who sometimes acted without considering the consequences, a trait that added to her vibrant personality.

A visitation will be held at West Resthaven Funeral Home, located at 6450 West Northern Ave, Glendale, Arizona, 85301, on June 12, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A rosary will be recited at the same location on June 12, 2025, at 7:00 p.m.

A funeral mass will be held at Ss. Simon & Jude Cathedral, located at 6351 North 27th Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona, 85017, on June 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

The burial service will be held at Resthaven Park Cemetery, located at 6450 West Northern Avenue, Glendale, Arizona, 85301, on June 13, 2025.
