Patricia L. Abeyta

Patricia was born in Boulder City, Nevada on March 8, 1959. She was the youngest of five children born to the late Vicente and Leandra Abeyta. We lost our beloved sister on August 21, 2024 in Washington state after a courageous battle with cancer.

Patricia grew up in Glendale, Arizona, graduated from NAU and later moved to Washington state. Twenty-four years ago, she met Earl Heikka and they shared a happy life as husband and wife. That is the blessing, she was happy. She was in a loving marriage, created and loved her beautiful home and enjoyed her work at BDA.

She will be remembered for her sense of humor, her affinity of animals, especially cats and birds, and for her writing voice. Her skill evoked emotions through heartfelt descriptions that would paint a picture. Patricia had the biggest heart, she had a gift for seeing beauty, where it was, in everything. She had a special light, it's with great sadness that we lost this light that shone so brightly to us.

Patricia is survived by her husband Earl Heikka, three siblings Evelyn Abeyta, Rosanne (Jeff) Brown & Ben Abeyta, nephew Aaron Brown and great nephew Vincent.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Steven Abeyta and niece Faith Brown.

Family and friends are invited to her memorial on Saturday 21, 2024 beginning at 12PM at Resthaven Park Cemetery, 6450 W. Northern Avenue, Glendale, AZ.
